Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-20-14  thomastonk: Ludwig Weinbrenner was quite active as member and official of the Vienna Chess Club. He also authored a booklet "Neuer Modus zur Bestimmung der Reihenfolge der Preistr├Ąger bei Schachturnieren", Vienna 1887 (New mode to determine the prize winners in chess tournaments). There he applied his method to the latest tournaments beginning with Vienna 1882. A funny read, in particular for those who know the early suggestions of Berger and Sonneborn.
