Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-07-06  blingice: Hmm, he seems pretty good, beating John Nunn (J Brenninkmeijer vs Nunn, 1992) and lasting against Korchnoi (Korchnoi vs J Brenninkmeijer, 1988). Repertoire Explorer: Joris Brenninkmeijer (white) notes that he nearly exclusively plays d4, and does quite well with it. Apparently anyone who plays d4 openings would do well studying this man's games.

Mar-07-06  dakgootje: No doubt hes dutch...
Mar-07-06  Castle In The Sky: He won the 1975 award for player with the single longest last name.
May-30-11  Raspje: Joris Brenninkmeier was the biggest Dutch talent after Jeroen Piket in the late 80's. He once defeated Anand, already a strong player at that moment. And it's true, Joris is a great 1.d4 player.
