Feb-05-07  sfm: <Sularus: wow... so may years between the last two games> Maybe some were added since you wrote the comment, but sure, there a huge missing periods in the listed activity of this player.
Feb-21-08  whiteshark: An intersting game with a ♘ sacrifice, <Rumens-Chandler>, 1980, Brighton is annotated here: http://home.clara.net/collett/chess...
Apr-26-14  wordfunph: "David Rumens won 13 tournaments in Britain in 1976, during the course of which he achieved a very high percentage against players markedly weaker than himself, and he told me that in order to achieve maximum efficiency against weak players he had learned to curb his natural attacking style and outplay then on technique."

Jul-10-17  GBKnight: Very sad news that Dave Rumens passed away on 8 July 2017, at the age of 77, after a short illness. Very successful on the UK weekend circuit in the 1970s, almost but not quite an IM, with two norms to his name, pioneered a style of play around the Grand Prix Attack, and could be said to be a forerunner of the English chess explosion to come. RIP
Aug-26-19  Nosnibor: The bio needs updating to record date of death being 8 July 2017.
Jan-23-20  Cibator: Can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet on here: Rumens was joint runner-up to Carlos Bielicki in the 1959 U-20 World Championship, alongside Bruno Parma and Josif Stefanov.
