  GrahamClayton: Tan qualifed for the 1973 Petropolis Interzonal tournament by a drawing of lots, after he, WS Kan and Max Fuller finished =1st in a play-off tournament after the 1972 Zone 10 championship tournament.

Jan-08-10  Cibator: He tied for 4th-5th (with England's P N Lee)at the world junior (u20) championship, 1963.
Feb-16-10  asianwarrior: <GrahamClayton> Eugene Torre won the 1972 Zone 10 Championship and Tan,WS Kan and Max Fuller finished equal second. Since there are only two slots from Zone 10 to play in the interzonal,the trio have a playoff for the second slot and Tan won.
