May-15-06  hrodriguez: It's a pity you don't have a brilliant game that Jimenez with black pieces won over Smyslov at the IV Capablanca in Memoriam,1965,involving a Queen's sacrifice. Unfortunately I don't have it.
Jun-25-06  Eastfrisian: He died on May 06, 2000.

FSR: How many people have three names with a Z in each one?

FSR: Fischer only beat him once in four attempts. http://www.chessgames.com/perl/ches...
Jul-12-16  zanzibar: How man people have two Z's in one name?

beatgiant: Two z's over the entire name is not that unusual:

Alireza Firouzja
Geza Maroczy
Lenier Dominguez Perez
Laszlo Szabo
Jan-Krzysztof Duda
Dariusz Swiercz
Zurab Azmaiparashvili
Lazaro Bruzon Batista
Tamaz Georgadze
Laszlo Barczay

Even 3 z's over the entire name can be found in the FIDE lists with not much effort, if we aren't restricted to top GMs. There are many double-barreled Spanish surnames with Gonzalez and the other part also ending in z, for example Cuban IM William Hernandez Gonzalez.

For 4 z's, for example there are a handful of FIDE players with the surname Gonzalez Gonzalez, the top rated one being Spain's Hugo Gonzalez Gonzalez (2138 on the current list).

Three z's, each in a different component of the name, is much rarer. One can search the FIDE list for a Spanish given name containing z such as Gonzalo or Alfonzo, and as we've seen, z's are common in Spanish surnames. With this approach, one finds a few examples like Gonzalo Sanhueza Ortiz (Chile), Gonzalo Cabezas Tiznado (Chile), Severyan Alfonzo Gomez Gomez (Venezuela - country also contains a z).
