Born 14th June 1933
He was Icelandic champion in 1966.
Dec-21-05  Halldor: He played in the olympiad in 1960 and 1966; in Vrnjacka Banja 1967; Reykjavik 1972 and 1976, and several smaller local tournaments. President of the Icelandic Chess Federation in 1974-76 and in 1982-84. International chess referee from 1976.

(In his younger years he was a prominent football player, at his best in 1953-57.)
