Jonathan MacDonald won the 1992, 2003 and 2005 New Brunswick championships and the Prince Edward Island open in 1993. In 1992, he won the New Brunswick open as well, and tied 1st-2nd the following year with John Torrie in the latter. In 2008, he won the Colpitts trophy awarded by the Maritime open tournament.

  Larryfyffe: There is a big mistake're mixing up the older J Ken Macdonald for whom I did research for; he's a correspondence player- with the much younger Jonathan MacDonald, a New Brunswick OTB player whom I personally know.

  Larryfyffe: By the way, my research reveals, unknown up to this time, that the Colpitts Trophy was donated by millionaire Harry McLean and named after a partner of his in the railway construction business.
