  chancho: Vince Young is INVINSIBLE!!!
Jan-05-06  you vs yourself: <Chancho> This chess player, Young is still playing. So, let's leave his page alone and respect him. But I've commented on the kibitzer's cafe about Vince Young's performance. One of the most exciting games I've ever watched. Young literally kept me on the edge of the seat whenever he took off. He has a bright future ahead of him.
Jan-05-06  ughaibu: What on Earth do you mean? No posting on the pages of active players? Compare Chacho's comment with any one of dozens on the pages of other active players.
Jan-05-06  you vs yourself: <Ughaibu> Vince Young is a college football player. He has no relation to the chess player, Mel Young.
Jan-05-06  ughaibu: I see. I guess your objection is valid but there are lots of this kind of joke and they aren't insulting the way that posts on, particularly, Kramnik's page are. As I see it, at worst Chancho has brought this player to the members' attention, I'd never heard of him (or the football player) so it's a gain for me.

chancho: <you vs yourself> There's an L Johnson who members have posted in his page, to make "johnson" jokes.I of course, did not mean any disrespect to M Young.I just got caught up in the excitement of a memorable football game.

fm avari viraf: Mel Young is really young when plays Chess. He is a friend of mine & a good gentleman. I have played & won with him in various Tournaments at Hastings during my frequent & long visits to Hastings. My another friend IM Peter Marusenko was once stranded at Hastings & I requested Mel to drop him at London in his Taxi & he willing did it, such a nice person he is!
Dec-18-18  Cibator: Could this be the M Young who won the u-160 section with 6/6 at the 1972 Evening Standard congress held in Islington?
