1. J Casas vs Korchnoi  ½-½421960Santa FeD91 Grunfeld, 5.Bg5

Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-30-13  Karpova: This could be <Jaime Casas> from Spain, according to Jeremy Gaige (p. 64 of 'Chess Personalia') born 1907.02 and died 1969.12.14, although he adds <data contradictory>.

Furthermore, the January 1933 'Neue Wiener Schachzeitung' reports on p. 13 that an, as of yet unknown, catalan player named <Jaume Casas> won the Spanish National Tournament in Valencia* with 10.0 out of 13, ahead of Fuentes (Seville) with 9.5, Master Vilardebo and Sanz (Madrid) with 8.5, while V. Marin only came in 8th with 6.5 points.

* probably in 1932, considering it was published so early in the 1933 paper.
