Mar-06-05  Calli: Its a whole family of players. Check it out at

http://www.chessgraphics.net/roos.htm

Would not be surprised if some games are attributed to the wrong player.

Mar-07-05  Benzol: Thanks <Calli>. The only ones I had information on were son Louis and father Michel. Michel married Jacqueline and they had sons Jean Luc, Daniel, Louis and daughter Celine and they all play chess. A remarkable family!

Penguincw: Congrats to Louis Roos for being the hero in R7 of the French Team Championships. At 2370, the IM had white against the untitled Carole Forestier (2072). A win was kinda expected, and sure enough, it happened. However, it was <huge> as all of the top 7 boards were drawn, meaning this game was the difference maker in "Strasbourg"'s 4 1/2-3 1/2 win over "Grasse".
