Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-29-04  Lawrence: <meloncio>, do you know if this is the Antonio Romero León who is mentioned in the June "Jaque Actualidad"? Romero León was champion of the Balearic Islands but is now in a mental hospital for the criminally insane.
Jun-29-04  meloncio: <Lawrence> Sorry, I can't help you because I don't know him. After 15 years of fidelity, I canceled my subscription to Jaque two years ago.

I remember, in 80's, a Sevilian strong player named Antonio Romero Briones, but he was then about 60 years old, and had good mental health if my memory serves me right.

¡Qué calor hace hoy, Dios mío!

Jun-29-04  Lawrence: <meloncio>, that's funny, when Sevillians come up to Barcelona they always insist ¡No hace calor en Sevilla!, explaining that it's a much drier heat than in Bcn.
Jun-30-04  meloncio: <Lawrence> Well, you know we aren't liars, just a little exaggerated ... :-D
