To keep fighting Paul uncorked the remarkable move 31.♘g6+. He opponent responded with 31...♖xg6 (31...hxg6 allows mate in two and 31...♗xg6 loses the Queen whilst 31...♔d7 32.♕xh7+ ♔c8 33.♕g8+ ♔c7 34.♖h7+ also will win for White.) 32.♕xh7+ ♔f8 33.♕xg6 ♗xg6 34.♗xb7 and the game was eventually drawn in 67 moves.

I could imagine Frank Marshall smiling about this one.
