May-08-04  ruylopez900: Poor South. Only one game in the database and it took him 19 moves to lose :D. Actually, checking out his profile at http://chess.ca/memberinfo.asp?CFCN... he seems to be decent, rated 2289 CFC.
May-08-04  MoonlitKnight: Well, he won the queen after only 5 moves, that's gotta count for something. Perhaps he will go down in history as South the Greedy.
May-09-04  nikolaas: Guy West, Robert North, Fred South... Where is mister East?
May-09-04  Lawrence: <nikolaas>, here Estes They're Spanish speaking Siamese twins.
Nov-05-04  rayzor: Fred is a solid master who does not compete in tournaments for years at a time (but seldom shows rust when he returns!).

Fred was still a teenager in the game against Spraggett, and was not yet a master (although he was a high school champion).

Fred's brother Bob South is also a master, and former Alberta champion.

Nov-06-04  rayzor: BTW, I think Robert North and Robert South have played each other. If not, they ought to. :-)
Nov-06-04  tex: South will rise again :)
