Feb-23-14  Zhbugnoimt: Vitaly Zaltsman was not born in Ukraine
Oct-26-15  greed and death: <Zhbugnoimt> You are technically correct, but people born in the Reichskommissariat Ukraine are not usually considered German-born.

Anyways, Zaltsman appears to have been a reasonably strong master at his peak in the late 1970's and early 1980's, defeating both Anthony Miles and Pal Benko during that time.

perfidious: Zaltsman was quite competent; it was no mean feat to play in multiple US championships.
Nov-19-15  Zhbugnoimt: Vitality Zaltsman was nothing near German-born, he was born in Magnogorsk, Russia and grew up in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.
