Jan-12-08  pawnofdoom: <Whitehat1963> That would have been a nice pun if it weren't for the fact that "Li" is pronounced Lee and not Lie
Jan-12-08  Jim Bartle: ...and shi tall.
Jan-12-08  sweeviltree: Peter Long Dong Mo
Jan-23-08  silvermoon: <Li Shilong> wins against Fabiano Caruana.

Round 11: Pontus Carlsson - Li Shilong

Round 12: Li Shilong - Arik Braun

Round 13: John van der Wiel - Li Shilong

Feb-02-08  silvermoon: Currently competing in the Noteboom Tournament (1-3 February), a memorial for the Dutch chess player Daniel Noteboom

Feb-04-08  silvermoon: Report:

Feb-15-08  sitzkrieg: He (or maybe i should say one of his games) won a beauty prize recently

(comment unfortunately in dutch -P=N L=B T=R D=Q)

Li Shilong - Richter
1. d4 Pf6 2. c4 g6 3. Pc3 Lg7 4. e4 d6 5. Pf3 0-0 6. Le2 Pa6 7. 0-0 e5 8. Le3 Pg4 9. Lg5 De8 10. h3 f6 11. Lc1 Ph6 12. Te1 Pf7 13. Lf1 f5 14. dxe5 dxe5 15. b3!

Txe5! had gespeeld,

met als mogelijk vervolg:
A) 20. .. Pxh3+ 21. Kh1 (zeer riskant is 21. Kh2 Dxe5+ 22. Kxh3 Tg6 23. Dd2 Kg8 24.

.. Tf5 helpt niet na 24. Ld3! gevolgd door 25. Lxf5 of 25. Dxf4, al naar gelang.

Sep-18-08  ingberg: Currently leading at the 4th Pichay Cup, half a point ahead of Zhang Zhong

Apr-10-11  wordfunph: 2520-rated GM Li Shilong finished 11th from 12 participants in the recent Chinese Championship with +3-7=1 clip with 2483 TPR..

http://www.chess.co.uk/twic/chessne...

i was impressed with his opening knowledge but he needs to check his endgame skill, he cracks under time pressure just like his game against GM Ni Hua, he missed Nihua's obvious Qxh6+ and resigned.
