Artur Hennings was an IM from (East) Germany and played for two East German Olympiad teams, in 1968 and 1970. In minor tournaments he scored some excellent results: 2nd at Kecskemet 1970, 1st= at Bucharest 1971, 1st in the master group at Amsterdam 1972 and 1st= at Lublin 1973.
