NICOLAI VESTERBAEK PEDERSEN
(born Jun-27-1977, 47 years old) Denmark

[what is this?]
Nicolai Vesterbaek Pedersen was born June 27, 1977. He learned chess at age 7 and, after playing competitively for many years, finally broke through in 2002 by winning the Kavala Open in Greece. In doing so he achieved his first GM-norm, and later that year, he made a second norm in his first Olympiad showing. These achievements made him "Danish Chess Player of the Year 2002."

He would also represent Denmark in the Olympiad in 2004. He won the Gent Open in 2004 and was third in the 2005 Nordic Championships, but has yet to secure his final GM-norm.
