=1st was an excellent result considering Craig hadn't played in any tournaments for four years. He decided to take risks and play aggressively, although he was lucky in a couple of games.

The reason why Craig had such a gap between tournaments is that he is an air traffic controller for NATS, which is one of the more unusual jobs that I have come across for a chess player.
