Penguincw: Congrats to Zhao Jun for winning the 90th Hastings Chess Congress (2014). He started out with 7 straight wins before "limping" in the end with 2 draws with black. He placed a full point ahead of 3 players.

Zhao Jun went 8/9 in the tournament, which is a TPR of 2852. With his current rating of 2595, he's in line to gain 25.6 to rise to 2620.6, which I believe is a career high.

Aug-16-15  cro777: GM Zhao Jun won the 1st Zhongfu Chess Open which took place in Shijiazhuang city, Hebei province, China from 8-16 August 2015.

He scored 7.5/9 and finished one point ahead of Ma Qun and Lu Shanglei.

Mar-22-17  cro777: GM Zhao Jun and WGM Gu Xiaobing – newly married chess couple.

A gentle forehead kiss:

What is so remarkable about a forehead kiss? It gives us a feeling of love, comfort, and feeling as though we are the most special person in the world.

Gu Xiaobing is a Woman Grandmaster. She competed in the Women's World Chess Championship in 2001 and 2012. She has her own chess academy (Yangzhou Yunhe Chess Academy, Yangzhou) and has been many times commentator for China Central TV and China Chess Association events. Gu has also been press officer for the FIDE in the World Mind Sports Games.

Mar-22-17  dumbgai: Another strong chess couple from China.
