ARTIOM TSEPOTAN
(born Apr-09-1978, 47 years old) Ukraine

Artiom Tsepotan was born in Kharkov in the Ukraine and became an International Master in 1999. The following year he gained a degree in education from the Kharkov University of Teaching. Since graduating, he has worked as a chess coach at the Chess School in Kharkov and also offers online instruction and coaching*. His students included 2012 Women's World Champion, GM Anna Ushenina, IM Maxim Polyakov, IM Alexey Averjanov, WIM Olena Dvoretska and many up and coming players of all ages, including Zhou Liran who became the youngest ever US National Master at the age of 9 years 3 months and 22 days in August 2017, beating Christopher Yoo's record by 8 months. Tsepotan has also published a number of articles with the Teaching University of Kharkov**.

In May 2011, he took on the task of maintaining the live rating lists that are extensively consulted by the world's chess enthusiasts at http://www.2700chess.com/, and is the chief administrator of that site.
