One aims to subjugate, another aims to educate.

That reflects the opinion of a minority in the US. A noisy minority, but still not a prevalent opinion.

After little thought, it is obvious: <torrefan> does it because he regards it as his inalienable right to be a gadfly at every turn, if not an outright troll.
