Sep-14-13  Karpova: Is this Dr. Siegmund Pollak?

Probably the same player (Pollak seems to be the correct spelling) S Pollack

Jan-23-14  Karpova: Dr. med. Siegmund Pollak died on April 5, 1912. A few weeks before his death, he withdrew from the Vienna Chess Club tournament due to the illness he would die of. He was cremated on April 10 in Dresden. He had been working in Döbling for more than 30 years and owned the <Höhenluftort> Maria-Schutz at the Semmering (mountain air location, probably a health resort).
