Dec-07-06  Wild Bill: Oksana Vozovic won the Ukrainian Ladies' Championship in Odessa today, with 5 wins and six draws. She took the title on the virtue of a superior SB score over Anna Ushenina, who also had 5 wins and six draws.

Bad performance by Zhukova while Mariya Muzychuk played well.

Dec-13-06  Karpova: A large report on the Ukrainian women's champion 2006: http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail...
Dec-13-06  Zebra: I think I would make sure I lost to somebody who was a kick-boxing champion...

But seriously, congratulations to her.

Dec-14-06  ExitOnly: I did a Google search of her. The only results were for chess sites. It seems she has done more lately with chess than kickboxing or karate. If she fought competitively more often, there would have probably been results showing that.

She does have a competitive personality, and she plays chess aggressively. Her king walk against Natalia Zhukova was impressive. Look on the official championship site, if interested.

Her name sounds Serbian. Does anybody know more about this?

Dec-14-06  Father Merrin 1: I am beginning to suspect that <Stanleys> is <Emperor Atahualpa>. They share a very similar and worrying fixation for women players.
Dec-17-06  Zebra: <Her name sounds Serbian.> It does indeed, though her first name sounds (to me) very Russian. I don't know what the story is behind that.

You're totally wrong on every point.Sorry!
