Nancy Conchar Elder (née Gordon) was born in Kirkmabreck, Kirkcudbright, Scotland. She was Scottish Women's Champion in 1950 (as Gordon), 1956 (jointly), 1957, 1958, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1980. She passed away in Perth, Australia in 1981.
