Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-05-14  zanzibar: A couple of things...

This player took part in the <2nd Pan-American Chess Congress, Hollywood (1954)>.

But there he is listed as G.K. Fielding.

The only Canadian site I've found so far listed him as Gerald Fielding

http://web.ncf.ca/bw998/CanadianChe...

though NIC gives the same full name as here:

https://www.newinchess.com/Fielding...

When I try to follow the ref above, I get a generic homepage, and I can't find any info on <Fielding> using their search box.

Finally, I am distrustful of games with such a large gap in years for the same player. Is this player still active at age 80+?

Dec-05-14  zanzibar: I do find a Gerald Kensell Fielding being awarded a degree in law in 1955:

http://heinonline.org/HOL/LandingPa...

BA in Laws from U of Saskatchewan.

G.K. Fielding, Eston

(Hollywood '54 lists him as from Saskatoon)

Dec-05-14  zanzibar: OK, here's a USCF senior list:

showing him active, and here's a link where he's listed as a judge:
