Aug-01-09  whiteshark: Maryana Huda
FIDE number 14116553
Birthdate 15-10-1988
Nationality UKR
Elo (01-07-2009) <WGM> 2235

I doubt that she is a real WGM

Aug-02-09  Albertan: Whiteshark, Maryana Huda is a real WGM. She applied for the title and was awarded it: here is a link to her application: http://ratings.fide.com/title_appli...
Aug-03-09  whiteshark: Thank for the application link, <Albertan>.

Maybe on the paper it looks 'ok', but

<Paper doesn't blush.>

If you look at the comments in V Savinov vs M Huda, 2005

- about a Ukrainian bogus tournament where she participated,

- the dates when she made her GM-norms (2004 and bogus year 2005!)

- the places where she made it (all Ukrainian)

- that you hardly find any information or game of these events

and realise that

- her last GM-norm tournament <Our Ukraine 2005> http://ratings.fide.com/apps/5548.jpg where she scored 10/14 vs average 2246 ELO opponents

- and today (2009) she hardly wins against any 2100+ opponents

==>> Maybe I'm completely wrong, but so far it smells fishy-fishy to me.

:D

Aug-04-09  Albertan: Yeah Whiteshark with the evidence you present against her,her chess playing abilities are definitely in question. Great research!
