The name is a tribute to the world's worst dog. He was lazy, surly and disobedient. He was also a coward. If he had played chess, he would have played for nothing but cheap traps.

My favorite players are (In no particular order): Tal, Korchnoi, Keres and Kasparov.

I am partial to playing 1 e4 and The Sicilian defense my favorite response to 1 e4. My poor memory and my lack of time keeps me from playing the really fun openings like the Najdorf and the Gruenfeld.

As a player, I am prone to making terrible one move blunders. I am also a better player at blitz than I am at standard time controls.

I love the artistic aspects of chess, which are unfortunately being undermined by computers. I also like the fact that, like soccer and basketball, it doesn't cost any money to play a game of chess.

I would like to reach the master level within a year.

OneBadDog: In this match, Anand has not had one easy route to equality as Black.

Oct-29-08 Anand - Kramnik World Championship Match (2008) (replies)

OneBadDog: I don't think that Kramnik will play a Benoni tomorrow; Black has too hard of a time equalizing. My guess is Kramnik will play a Slav or a Semi-Slav. If Anand wants to win the match tomorrow, he needs to play his best and not just aim for an easy draw.

OneBadDog: <hitman84: <kamikazeattack> is a bloody nincompoop who poops all over the site. His posts stinks as much as he does.> Kamikaze spills his guts all over this page, and this is how you treat him? LOL

OneBadDog: <Thats not the problem, the issue here is the lack of balls, he is so scared to lose, that he rather draw all games, before taking significant risks.> Hey Mack, I have no truck with Leko, he just neeeds a new Peterbilt. LOL

Mar-01-08 Kasparov vs Anand, 1995 (replies)

OneBadDog: What exactly does "greatest chessplayer" mean?? We will never know how Karpov would have performed against Fischer. Kasparov's highest rating was well over 2800 while Fischer's was 2780. Comparing results across the span of decades is problematic. One thing to remember, ratings ...

   Jan-27-08 Corus Group A (2008) (replies)

OneBadDog: Why the criticism about Anand? Kramnik is probably the toughest player in the world to beat. 2nd place in this tournament is no discgrace. A world champion coming in 2nd in a tournament is nothing new.
