Jun-23-04 Alburt vs Kasparov, 1978 (replies)

AntonioSonoQui: Does anybody have more interesting variations to add?

Jun-22-04 Gligoric vs Fischer, 1959 (replies)

AntonioSonoQui: I like this special case of using the attacker's own pawn to block his path to the opposition -- it's definitely a great concept to keep in mind

Jun-21-04 Ftacnik vs Palatnik, 1978 (replies)

AntonioSonoQui: By the way, Gilberty, if White just decides to push his a-pawn instead, then Black will just get to it in time and eat it up. 66.a6 Kc8 67.a7 Kb7 and the pawn is going to be with the Lord.

Jun-06-04 Vladimirov vs Epishin, 1987 (replies)

AntonioSonoQui: yes sir.

   Jun-04-04 V Soultanbeieff vs V Borodin, 1943 (replies)

AntonioSonoQui: <Poohavez> It is understandable that you would miss the devilish retort to 27. Rh3 which makes 26...Qd8 so extremely brilliant. After 27. Rh3 Black plays the stunning 27...Qh4! Sort of an interference tactic, really...

   May-24-04 E Karklins vs P Tautvaisas, 1969 (replies)

AntonioSonoQui: It looks like those solutions transpose as well.

May-22-04 Spassky vs Averkin, 1973 (replies)

AntonioSonoQui: Good morning everyone!

   May-21-04 J Kaplan vs Bronstein, 1975 (replies)

AntonioSonoQui: By the way... if White tries to avoid the whole b-pawn advance with 27. a4 then Black of course plays first 27...b6! followed by a6, b5, b4, etc. Hope for feedback...

   May-19-04 Tal vs F Olafsson, 1975 (replies)

AntonioSonoQui: <kevin86> Thanks for the correction, <Lawrence> thanks for the warm welcome... I usually visit this site and look at the puzzles but just decided today to participate -- fun stuff!
