I'm like Tal, not in playing style (I'm d4 white and Caro-Kann), but that, like the great man, I like a tipple. I'm a pub player who lives near Tower Bridge, London. My favourite current player is Morozevich. At last we have real excitement with the new wave of Raj, Mah, Carls and Karj. I also love two of the greatest never to become world champion, Schlecter and Rubinstein. I play on gamecolony as Lettuce-Leaf but prefer to play pub chess. And yes, I got my name from the comic Viz. Ch cheers all.

Apr-03-10 Larsen vs Hartston, 1973

Broon Bottle: I believe that Hartston lost to Uhlmann and Larsen in the final rounds and missed his GM title. This was 1972 when a GM title was special. He would have become the UK's first modern GM (Miles was 1976, I think).
