   Mar-16-18 H Mueller vs Trompowsky, 1936 (replies)

CMDMB: Mueller vs. Trompowsky. That looks about right, 82 years later.

Sep-12-17 Kasparov vs Karpov, 1984 (replies)

CMDMB: <Kasparov's first win against Karpov, at the 43rd attempt !! If you include the simul in 1975 and the three games they played prior to this match> Kasparov has described how Karpov was like his teacher in this match. Clearly, Kasparov was outclassed in the beginning. But ...

Jun-09-15 Karpov vs Gligoric, 1972 (replies)

CMDMB: Truly masterful maneuvering of the pieces that we can all aspire to achieve.

Jun-01-15 Nakamura vs Topalov, 2015 (replies)

CMDMB: It seems his fellowship is working out for him. Definitely a far more mature Naka which I am beginning to take a liking to. If he wants to contend, question is how (or if) he'll find a way to outplay Carlsen. Not an easy task.

May-30-15 Reshevsky vs Mednis, 1956 (replies)

CMDMB: I thought a typical Reshevsky win was a positional squeeze!

   May-18-15 V Zhuravliov vs Yermolinsky, 1988

CMDMB: A beautiful demolition of a dubious yet annoying line.

   May-15-15 Sznapik vs Balashov, 1990

CMDMB: This game showcases the surreal beauty of chess - rising from what otherwise seemed a rather innocuous position!

   May-15-15 Kosten vs E Ahmed, 2003

CMDMB: This is almost identical to a line of the Dragon, reversed - where white has a better setup than black here and is STILL not advised to take the exchange due to the strong attacking chances black gets. Kosten deftly demonstrates why grabbing the exchange should be avoided in this type

   May-15-15 Kosten vs I Farago, 1992

CMDMB: Awesome game. You gotta love how Kosten just ignores the d4 bishop and proceeds to calmly take control of the game, never letting go of it for a second.

   Apr-04-15 V Erdos vs Mamedyarov, 2012

CMDMB: Looking at some of Mamedyarov's games I see a quality unlike that of other modern players. Incredible tactical vision (exploited beautifully in both defense and attack), creativity, and fearlessness.
