Carrots and Pizza: <unferth: I'd say it's unbelievable that the NFL is permitting crowds, > Did you say, "permitting" crowds? As if anything that's not explicitly allowed is automatically forbidden. The arrogant sociopaths are the selfish people who are peeing their pants over covid ...

   Jun-15-20 Kasimdzhanov vs B Amin, 2020 (replies)

Carrots and Pizza: It's incredible that White won this game after his wild sacrifice and having to trade queens. It seemed that he was grasping for straws after that, playing on pure momentum before he inevitably resigns, but no! He ends up with a million pawns and wins the game. Was that ...

Jun-05-20 Carlsen vs So, 2020 (replies)

Carrots and Pizza: Seems like Magnus and So both wanted to cruise to a draw here. The opening is strange. After 8.Rxe5 it's hard to believe that the person playing the white pieces is the greatest chess player in history.

   May-01-20 Caruana vs Vachier-Lagrave, 2020 (replies)

Carrots and Pizza: After 22.Nf3 black looks to be fully equalized. Where did he go wrong?

   Apr-26-20 Vachier-Lagrave vs Carlsen, 2020 (replies)

Carrots and Pizza: Look at White playing 3.h4! Now that makes two of us. It was slick of White to allow the pawn fork on d4 by castling long, but Black ended up trading down to a better pawn structure. This reminds me of something Capablanca would do, for some reason. Carlsen is a great ...

Apr-26-20 Ding Liren vs Giri, 2020 (replies)

Carrots and Pizza: After 17...Nc6 it looks like black stands badly because of his backward d pawn, but he managed to keep white busy and win the game. Amazing play.

   Apr-09-20 A Nimzowitsch vs Alapin, 1914 (replies)

Carrots and Pizza: How many of us would play 12.0-0-0? Although he is widely recognized for his strategic play and theoretical contributions, Nimzovich was also an amazing tactician.

Apr-03-20 Karpov vs Korchnoi, 1974 (replies)

Carrots and Pizza: I have a book, it might be Karpov's Best Games or something like that, and it had this game in it, analyzed thoroughly. What an incredible game. Karpov played the attack flawlessly, seeing all the tactics everywhere. Amazing chess. 24.e5 is a great move.

   Apr-03-20 W Allnutt vs Lasker, 1903 (replies)

Carrots and Pizza: What's wrong with 17.Qb3? It seems like 17.Nbd2 gets White into trouble.

Apr-03-20 AlphaZero vs Stockfish, 2018 (replies)

Carrots and Pizza: 14...g6 is the kind of move that I probably wouldn't even have considered, let alone played.
