   Oct-10-23 E Romanov vs A Graf, 2007

Chris Bennington: Much easier than yesterday.

Apr-13-23 Navara vs Hracek, 1998 (replies)

Chris Bennington: 18...Nhf3+ 19. Qxf3 Qxf3 seems faster.

Apr-12-23 Nepomniachtchi vs Wei Yi, 2019 (replies)

Chris Bennington: What am I missing? It looks like a forced win for white after: 27. Kh1 Bxf5 28. Qh2 Qf3+ 29. Qg2 Qxg2# or 27. Kh1 Bxf5 28. exf5 Qxh3+ 29. Qh2 Qf3+ 30. Qg2 Qxg2#

   Nov-09-22 T Laasanen vs Bagirov, 2000 (replies)

Chris Bennington: It strikes me that while black is up a pawn, White actually has the advantage. After the exchange of queens, the black rook is going to be pinned to the defense of the pawn at C7, and the white king is going to make it to the center of the board first. What am I missing?

   Aug-17-22 J Yeager vs O Ulvestad, 1946 (replies)

Chris Bennington: This strikes me as much more of a Monday puzzle.

   Feb-24-22 A Puranik vs S Sjugirov, 2020 (replies)

Chris Bennington: I believe 28. . . Nd4 works just as well, but not as quickly.

   Jan-15-22 K Alekseenko vs Grischuk, 2021 (replies)

Chris Bennington: So what was wrong with 58. e8=Qch? White wins both rooks or black gets mated in every variation l see. What am l missing?

   Jan-11-22 A Ozsvath vs G Kluger, 1962 (replies)

Chris Bennington: So what was the problem with 29. . . Bxe3? I have been looking at this for 15 minutes I don't see the down side. What am I missing?

   Dec-17-21 Savon vs B Gurgenidze, 1971 (replies)

Chris Bennington: I think Bd4 is just as forcing and quicker unless white sacrifices his Queen.

   Oct-06-21 C Zou vs Sengupta, 2019 (replies)

Chris Bennington: Black missed a win, I believe. 33. . . . RxF1 check appears to force a mate.
