I'm a moody player; sometimes I play very decent chess, even amazing at times, while other times I'm not feeling well and feel too impatient to think so I play like I've just learned to move the pieces. When this happens instead of taking some time to cool off, I log on the ICC and ruin my rating. (Happening very often lately)

I'm trying to organize myself, start a "training program" and actually read some books and study the game... But I'm too lazy.

I love chess.

"The fact that a player is very short of time is, to my mind, as little to be considered an excuse as, for instance, the statement of the law-breaker that he was drunk at the time he committed the crime." -Alekhine

"The purpose of human life and the sense of happiness is to give the maximum what the man is able to give." -Alekhine

"The player who plays best in a tournament never wins first. He finishes second behind the guy with the most luck" -Tartakower

Apr-14-06 Kramnik - Topalov World Championship Match (2006) (replies)

CowardlyKnight: Have they made a legal, written agreement of how the title is going to be managed? Like what type of cycle, matches or tournaments, how many times it will be defended, etc..? Because if they haven't we can only expect more problems in the future, specially if Kramnik wins.

CowardlyKnight: Lesson of the day: Creating a King-side weakness against Tal = Digging your own grave.

CowardlyKnight: <7p, which is roughly equivalent to 2600> Are you sure? I would have thought 7p would be over 2700. How many 7p's or higher are there?

CowardlyKnight: Aronian beat Topa with the Bird (1. f4!) today.

   Mar-13-06 Morelia-Linares (2006) (replies)

CowardlyKnight: <yoozum> I guess you're right, it is only right that the top Spanish player should be invited to Linares. There are only two problems: 1. Paco is obviously several steps bellow the other participants. 2. I think that Linares is damaging his chess and confidence more ...

Mar-11-06 F Vallejo Pons vs Topalov, 2006 (replies)

CowardlyKnight: <TheUnkraut: "You have to shake this guys hand, boss-and try to look a little serious"- "thanks danailov-what were i without you, dear friend?"-"Nothing, boss..."> ...The first time it was a little funny, the second was annoying, now you just look like a babbling troll.

Mar-10-06 Topalov vs Leko, 2006 (replies)

CowardlyKnight: <Kasparov has a number of chances to equalize in that game.> In what game doesn't the loser have a number of chances to equalize? Unless the player makes a horrible blunder there is usually a very large line between having a "better game" and a "won game".

   Mar-10-06 Hikaru Nakamura (replies)

CowardlyKnight: If you look at some of Fishcer's interviews you wouldn't think he was a crazy psycho either.

CowardlyKnight: <Some have even said alcohol was the primary agent for the development of Western civilization, since more healthy individuals (even if inebriated much of the time) lived longer and had greater reproductive success. (Upenn Museum)> LOL! God, I laughed so hard I thought ...
