   Mar-17-20 A Fuderer vs Geller, 1954

Hokey pokey: "I walked around, looked at the USSR- Yugoslavia match- this was the day of Fuderer's sensational victory against Geller." Bent Larsen

   Feb-13-20 V S Gujrathi vs S Shankland, 2020 (replies)

Hokey pokey: 23...Rce7 was the boner, cutting off the Queen's escape. Sam probably saw 25...Qh5 26.g4 Qh3 27.Rc3 Qh4 28.g5 was losing too.

   Jan-26-20 V Artemiev vs Caruana, 2020 (replies)

Hokey pokey: Domination over an elite group. Bravo Caruana!

Jan-18-20 Vitiugov vs J van Foreest, 2020 (replies)

Hokey pokey: Interesting ending!

Jan-11-20 J van Foreest vs Yu Yangyi, 2020 (replies)

Hokey pokey: Nicely done! The ending required careful play. I like 57.Qc5 followed by 58.Kd4. Also later 63.Kc4 & 64.Qc5 to get Black's rook off the 3rd rank.

Jan-06-20 Larry Evans vs F Olafsson, 1957 (replies)

Hokey pokey: Finished off nicely.

   Dec-25-19 Larry Evans vs J Sherwin, 1954

Hokey pokey: Black must have flagged, there are still lots of problems for White in the final position.

Dec-25-19 Larry Evans vs A Pomar Salamanca, 1954

Hokey pokey: Nice R&P! A positional squeeze toward zugzwang. Quite instructive.

Dec-24-19 Kashdan vs Larry Evans, 1954 (replies)

Hokey pokey: After 14.Qxe4 Black is much better, White's K side attack can be repulsed and his Q side pawns are weak. 23...Qe7 is an improvement for Black. Kash keeps it complicated and it works! Good game.

Dec-17-19 Taimanov vs Larry Evans, 1954 (replies)

Hokey pokey: Maybe time pressure.
