Nov-17-16 Graham Hall vs J M Alvarez Sabor, 2009 (replies)

Hongkonger: Wrong spelling for black. Should be Graeme Hall

   Nov-17-16 A Balzanelli vs Graham Hall, 2009

Hongkonger: Wrong spelling for black. Should be Graeme Hall

Sep-06-13 Anand vs Ivanchuk, 1991 (replies)

Hongkonger: I got 29...d5 (it cried out to be played I thought) and the next couple of moves, but I certainly didn't see 32...Bg5 and the follow-up, I kept wanting to play Bb5+ but couldn't get it to work.

   Jul-26-13 Gheorghiu vs S Momo, 1962 (replies)

Hongkonger: <The final position leaves me thinking that I've missed something. 36. Rxd8 looked daft until I saw 37. Qh8#; but the obvious reply of 36. ...Rxd8 does away with that. What is White up to here?> 37.Qe7

   Jul-15-13 Graham Hall

Hongkonger: The two games from 2009 are a different Graeme Hall

Apr-05-13 Lombardy vs Fischer, 1958 (replies)

Hongkonger: The first Friday I have got for a while, but I have been looking at endings recently. I was sure that the key had to be to get the white king onto a3 so that black queens with check. Otherwise if both sides queen the result could be quite the opposite after white plays Qf8+.

Apr-02-13 World Championship Candidates (2013) (replies)

Hongkonger: <fgh> <Are you referring to Chessbomb? Or is there something even worse?> How did you guess? Yes, chessbomb was very much in my mind, though much of the "chat" on the official site was pretty grim too.

   Apr-02-13 Lawrence Trent (replies)

Hongkonger: Yes, agree with all the above, Lawrence did a brilliant job - especially on such long days. I particularly appreciated his candour when he admitted to not knowing what was going on!

Mar-24-13 Carlsen vs Aronian, 2013 (replies)

Hongkonger: Perhaps he is Tal after all

Mar-23-13 Carlsen vs Radjabov, 2013 (replies)

Hongkonger: Can black sac the c6 pawn and follow up Qxc6 with Bb7?
