   Jul-13-17 Sidney Norman Bernstein (replies)
JohnTal: One of the few players who would aggressively sacrifice a piece against Fischer and survive, even though he never beat Bobby -- at least he was entertaining and not simply an intimidated wimp who lacked any fight.
   Apr-13-17 J Dworakowska vs Shabalov, 2006 (replies)
JohnTal: 24...Ne3 and White survives with 25 Ne3 ... Bh6 followed by 26 Bf1
Apr-11-17 Bisguier vs Fischer, 1956 (replies)
JohnTal: After this game, Fischer turned Bisguier into his favorite whipping boy.
   Mar-03-17 H Bogart vs NN, 1933 (replies)
JohnTal: We'll always have Paris!
   Feb-18-17 R Tischbierek vs E Postny, 2007 (replies)
JohnTal: 39 ... Be6, 40 fe ...Kf8, 41 Nf5! closes the deal.
   Feb-06-17 R Dowden vs S Yee, 2016 (replies)
JohnTal: I would rarely expect a 2016 Q sacrifice at the GM level in 2016. Still, always awesome to see as our standard Sunday evening tactical theme to start the week.
   Jan-29-17 Raymond Keene (replies)
JohnTal: Ray, I wish you had played Bobby Fischer at least once. Happy Birthday!!! Your analysis and notes are very informative and helpful! Whom do you rate as your toughest opponent? Also, what do you consider your greatest game?
   Jan-29-17 S Trcala vs Alekhine, 1908
JohnTal: No way he was going to prevail with 23 Qh5 against AA. Why not Qg3 followed by h4 with possible play using Alekhine's Gun against the man himself?
   Jan-27-17 W So vs F El Taher, 2006 (replies)
JohnTal: So probably burned 1 second off his clock for his 12th and 13th moves. Hard to believe that a 2400 player would get smoked so quickly in the Morphy style.
   Oct-18-16 Shabalov vs G Jones, 2016 (replies)
JohnTal: Perhaps to be followed with 24 ... Qa4 exerting pressure on a3 and b4 with the possibility of removing the a/b pawns and having 3 connected pawns on the Q-side. That would be rapid curtains for White, hence his 25th move to protect the b pawn.
