I'm here to Kibitz. As a kid, I'd watch my parents play card games with friends and family. I'd ask questions, comment and learn. I didn't realize I was kibitzing. Now, for me, playing games is a great pastime, and chess is one of the best games.

I'll comment on games that demonstrate great chess strategy. I'll use kibitzing to apply and develop my chess understanding. For example, I did a reading of Nimzowitsch's, My System, and I'd like to explore his concepts when analyzing games.

When I kibitz, I'm not necessarily using an engine to analyze. I'm just speaking from my understanding of strategy! Keeping that in mind, I still welcome you to comment and improve upon my analysis. I'd love to learn from other users!

   Mar-28-25 Bronstein vs Uhlmann, 1977

   Mar-26-25 Karpov vs A Beliavsky, 1986

   Mar-06-25 R Silva Nazzari vs Uhlmann, 1964

LittleKibitzer: I should have said, "9...f6 allows Black to bring the knight to g6* (correction). En bref, it's a useful move that does not entirely signal Black's intentions. Castling kingside it still possible. The move can also been seen in: J Blit vs A Giaccio, 2003

   Mar-05-25 A M Soozankar vs S Volkov, 2016

LittleKibitzer: <Opening Tips> This is a great variation of the French Exchange with the knight on c6. It's flexible and potentially more aggressive with the possibility of castling long. In this game, Black reserves some flexibility with a preemptive h6, but he ends up castling ...

   Feb-22-25 D Bocharov vs S Azarov, 2005

LittleKibitzer: <Opening Tips> This is a great model game for the Queen's Gambit Declined, Exchange Variation. 15...Rac8 is logical, as is the follow-up. White makes a kingside advance, but black is able to find ideal routes for his pieces. By the time black is able to get ...

   Feb-15-24 Z Almasi vs Anand, 1997

LittleKibitzer: <Opening Tips> Unlike the Hedgehog structure, black develops the queen's knight to Nc6. And this allows black to later play Nfd7. This is an essential part of reinforcing e5. The knights work together, and the convenient development of the bishop, 9 Bg7, also helps ...

   Jul-19-23 P Marusenko vs A Cohen Revivo, 2015

LittleKibitzer: <Opening Tips> There are some thematic moves in this game for the English Defense opening. Firstly, the Qc2-Bd3 battery seems natural. However, black scores well in this opening perhaps for his rapid development and activity. When white plays g3 and then f3, black ...
