Hi. I'm a chess fan, but a fairly weak player (OTB 1400)

The legends whose games interest me the most are: Paul Morphy, Mikhail Tal, Bent Larsen and R.J. Fischer. I also like N. Short, J. Speelman, V. Anand and the 2 K's. Of late I've become a fan of Tigran Petrosian.

I won a blindfold game against a friend once (I was, he wasn't). That was both quite unexpected and quite funny!

LucB: Happy New Year everybody at CG! 2020! Where has the time gone? They say as you grow older time seems to go by faster and faster. I wholeheartedly agree (unfortunately!)... :)

LucB: I think the position after 42...Bxe3 would be a good puzzle.

LucB: What a day! Anand drew in a difficult position with black against the Champ, and I fixed my dryer! Good times!...

LucB: <Sokrates> <But I also have much sympathy for the gentle Indian. 49 = "Old man"? After all...> It's all in jest of course. I'm 60 myself, so Anand could be my kid brother, and I myself do not feel that I'm old.

   Apr-29-19 Naiditsch vs G Meier, 2019 (replies)

LucB: I'm beginning to like this Naiditsch fellow!

LucB: <Penguicw:> <But a third queen for each side? Turn the rook upside-down?> In the US, yes (I think it's a USCF allowance), or just stop the clock and ask the arbiter for another Queen.

   Jan-27-19 A Giri vs Carlsen, 2019 (replies)

LucB: Hi <Chancho>. Do you mean 'put together' or each individually? Either way, it IS an impressive achievement! Well done, WC Carlsen!
