I live in England. I a club standard player but tend to play just on the internet nowadays (Fics) so I have not got a rating. I suppose my favourite players today are Alexander Morozewich and Sergei Rublevsky, for different reasons.

LutherBlisset: I have checked with Jimmy Adams, the editor of Chess magazine in the UK. It was played by him. Not Michael Adams. It is a very good game.

LutherBlisset: Yes this game reminds me of one of Kramnik's against the machine, except it was even more cramped up for Kramnik. He is a composure personified in these positions

LutherBlisset: okay, f3

LutherBlisset: I would like to ask a question. Are there any games in the database that show how to handle a mobile passed pawn, particularly in a rook and pawn ending without minor pieces. Do the rooks go behind the pawn or do they limit their action by standing in front of it?
