   Jun-23-14 O Ulvestad vs G Holloway, 1952 (replies)
Morttuus: It seems like the white double-pawn in the middle rather protects the black king instead of threatening him.
   Mar-24-14 D G Baird vs Albin, 1894 (replies)
Morttuus: JG27: Ah, damn by eyes. Life is a battle, and the bottle always wins.
   Mar-10-14 P L Corrales Ibanez vs M Gavilan Diaz, 2003 (replies)
Morttuus: I think even a schoolboy should know this theme. Well, it happens, though. Who can judge? A few days ago, I made a deadly blunder, when I gained an exchange and a few moves after I gave my rook to the opponent for free. I couldn't understand how could I overlook that. 50 moves ...

   Dec-17-13 G Roeder vs D Heinbuch, 1982 (replies)
Morttuus: A bit too fast, aint it, for the highest competition in Germany? (At least I guess it is the highest one:-) ) But why not,it can happen. This puzzle is great for beginners and patzers like me,to realise, how worthy such a free highway to the king can be. Poor black king.So many pieces
Dec-02-13 Salov vs Dreev, 1998 (replies)
Morttuus: davidcinca: No, I don't think so. If 33...Qe1, then white would play 34. Qd7+ Kb1 35.Qd7+ Rxd7 36. Rxd7+ Kxd7 37. Rxe1, and black could resign, because he is a rook down and the attack is gone.
