Sep-25-07 Anand vs Morozevich, 2007 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: Moro commits to the kingside and could easily get himself into a tangle with white's knight fork on d5 coming up.

Mar-02-07 Anand vs Topalov, 2007 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: Looking forward to a great game. Thanks CG.

Feb-25-07 Svidler vs Carlsen, 2007 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: Candidate moves here? How about 24. Qd3 or 24. Qe2

Feb-17-07 Carlsen vs Morozevich, 2007 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: Moro hasn't left himself much time for the remaining moves. Carlsen would be happy with his position. Interesting he didn't go for 24. Nxb5, must have spotted something tricky

Feb-17-07 Topalov vs Anand, 2007 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: shame about the draw, I thought there was plenty of play left

May-19-06 Topalov vs Ponomariov, 2006 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: OK 29..Rbd8, this is not over yet for Topalov, Pono has to be very careful. Topa must be thinking about ideas with Kh2, f6 and Bxf7-Bg6. Topa has local superiority on the K-side

May-18-06 Anand vs Topalov, 2006 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: How about 29..h4 now, with a view to ..h3 continuing the attack on the white squares around the king.

May-12-06 Topalov vs Anand, 2006 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: 19..c4 looks fine for Anand, and if 20. dc Bxc4 he leaves white with a backward pawn and tangled up. I prefer black here. I think this all goes back to Topalov's 17. Be3 instead of 17. Nbd2.

   May-08-06 C Land vs D Datta, 2006 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: <Emperor>After 32. Bxe4? Bxe4 33.Qxe4 Qh3 and it is mate pretty soon.

   Apr-12-06 K Shanava vs G Kacheishvili, 2006 (replies)

ObiWanBenoni: <EmperorAtahualpa>19.c5 does seem to lead to trouble but it is difficult to suggest anything more constructive. I think Shanava was trying to find some complications in a losing position. If he does nothing he is getting crushed. So at least the threat of 20. Qd6 is an ...
