Hello. I am 12 and from the Netherlands, so still learning English. For that reason, I prefer speaking Latin or Dutch. However, I will not delete English messages if it's something interesting. I am learning pi (3,14159...), no more than 95 decimals yet, but still. Write something on my forum if you have done that, too. Could result in a nice discussion. I like chess problems, especially the ones like those from Sam Loyd. Feel free to post one.

FAVORITE OPENINGS

For White:
Evans gambit, King's gambit, and every other 1. e4 e5 opening.

For Black: Traxler!!!

Rubenus: Just a question: What about 12. ... e3 13. fxe3 d3? Closing the e-line removes the most immediate threat, I think, and black stays a pawn ahead.

Rubenus: My dad and I played an interesting game today. He isn't that good, I estimate about 1300 rating (although he is better if he is serious :)) but I am not that good either. After some 20 moves we arrived at the following position (I made it from black's perspective, for I was black, ...

Rubenus: No, not really. But why would someone suddenly stop playing there (has he been banned?)?

Rubenus: <ArturoRivera> In my opinion, ++ should be reserved for double check and # for checkmate. I see cg.com has corrected it.
