Spitecheck: *Liberal* implies that those who have an economic advantage are free to exploit the proles till the last drop, who are in turn granted the freedom to choose which side of politics will continue to sell them the myth of grand opportunity. Meanwhile they slowly wilt into their ...

Spitecheck: <Acirce> Thanks for that stalemate info re Karpov-Andersson! That had bothered me for awhile....

Spitecheck: Essentially the squares on a chessboard could be colourless, the colours only came in to distinguish between diagonals - and that was with checkers first was it not. Of course the white in the bottom right should always be maintained it is just easier through doctrine let alone ...

Spitecheck: Isn't the ...Nd7 variation referred to as the Steinitz variation? Although to be sure Karpov is one of it's more persistent practicioners. Spitecheck

Spitecheck: Apparently if you believe the two engines I have 22 ... Bd7 is the fatal error here (Better...Bf8 instead leads to ditching his queen, however, for a platoon of white's active pieces). Otherwise Black is just holding the last trump in the endgame? Spitecheck

Spitecheck: My hat's off to him as well for his part in Please (You got that need...). Spitecheck
