Jan-14-21  Ybr: <george wallace> <You said, clearly, forcefully, that you were going to delete the Rogoff page and then you didn't, susan> Oh, you speculating why rogoffland is not nuked ?

Let me tell you the real reason :

Why cg.com not legally liable for the facist, racist , abusive posts and murder fantasies posted by <big pawn> and why cg.com not nuking rogoff forum : <section 230>

<Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act was passed in 1996 and provides legal immunity to internet companies for content that is shared on their websites

According to the regulation, “No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider.”

This means that online companies, including social media platforms, are not liable for the content shared on their website by its users. So if a user posts something illegal on the website, the company is protected from lawsuits. In addition, the regulation also states that private companies have the right to remove content that violates their guidelines and values. Thus, the big tech companies were well within their rights when they decided to suspend Trump’s accounts.>

Jan-14-21  realdumptrump: I'm not condoning <al w>'s posts, a classic case of what-about-ism.

It's about condemning <BP>'s posts, with their threats of violence, both explicit and implicit.

Please note that it's been mis-characterized as petty a conflict - it's not, though it is personal in some measure, it's about the kind of website <CG> has been, and will be.

I do have a personal say in the matter, and it is generally relevant (today they come for me, tomorrow ... ?):

Kenneth Rogoff (kibitz #346316)

And this from July 2020, when <Zanzibar> wasn't even active on <CG>:

<If it keeps up, I predict that there will be lib massacres in the streets. The <Noks> and <Zanzibars> of America will be found and killed.

It happens in every country at one time or another, and it looks like it could happen here.

The tree of liberty is watered with the blood of tyrants from time to time. >

Kenneth Rogoff (kibitz #436363)

Is this the kind of site <CG> has become, where active and non-active good standing members of the community are threatened with physical violence by another member?

Well?

I know this isn't easy, but Daniel would never have allowed it, nor should you Susan.

.

Jan-14-21  Ybr: <realdonaldtrump><big pawn : "<If it keeps up, I predict that there will be lib massacres in the streets. The <Noks> and <Zanzibars> of America will be found and killed.">

For quite some time now , <big pawn> or his socks posting such fantasies of murder , mob killing very frequently , very regularly.

Libs call for <concentration camps> for conservatives and no one on the Rogoff page rebuked the idea or the poster. Therefore, all of your whining and crying about my offensive posts is just blatant hypocrisy on display, and your attempts to manipulate <Susan> will fail.

If you were really interested in <protecting CG> from offensive posts, then you would have called for <Al Wazir's> cancellation after he made that post, but you didn't.

I will be here, enjoying free speech, writing offensive (to you) posts and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.

NEXT!

Big Pawn: <Diddlemas>, your mild rebuke doesn't count, because it only happened after I dragged it out of you by running his post up the flag pole.

Unlike you libs, I am not calling for <Al Wazir> to be canceled from the site. I am here demonstrating a clear double standard in my <defense>.

I have the right to defend myself and that's what I'm doing. You don't like it?

Too bad!

You're referring to this I guess.
<your willingness to see 75 million of your countrymen in concentration camps just for not sharing your worldview, makes me question your sanity.>

That's not <no one on the Rogoff page rebuked the idea or the poster.>

And where was all the uproar for this sick post calling for violence and murder amongst the "Elite" posters?

<It may get so out of control that <millions> need to die before all is well again. Millions, and I mean millions.

It doesn't have to be this way.

1. We need to identify BLM and ANTIFA as terrorists.

2. We need to kill them all.

This is a war and they are <here>, not overseas in Afghanistan. Not in Iraq. Not in Syria. This is the <fifth column> I've been talking about.> Big Pawn chessforum (kibitz #4248)

Or to paraphrase yourself: <Then show me the outrage from conservatives over this comment. There is none. Zero.

Silence is consent.>

<Unlike you libs, I am not calling for <Al Wazir> to be canceled from the site. I am here demonstrating a clear double standard in my <defense>.

Big Pawn: <Diddimas>, your last comment is easily refuted.

1. The Elite Posters are not the ones calling for censorship, so their silence on my offensive post is consistent. The libs are the ones calling for censorship, trying to get me canceled for writing offensive posts, but I proved here that their outrage is selective and not genuine and used their silence on <Wazir's> post as proof.

2. My post is not analogous to <Al Wazir's> post. <Al Wazir> straight up calls for putting conservatives in <concentration camps> to torture them.

My post is a <warning> about what <may happen> if something isn't done about the <agitators> who are eventually going to push us into war.

Finally, your rebuke regarding <Al Wazir's> concentration camp post <doesn't count> because I had to shame you into it. You had ample time to condemn it on your own, but you went silent, with all the other libs. Your rebuke came too late, and it's too little as well.

I am not calling for <Al Wazir> to be censored, suspended or canceled from <cg> because he wants to put Christians in <concentration camps> and torture us. I just want <Susan> to be well aware of the double standard, the hypocrisy, the phoniness and the dishonesty of the <cancel culture libs> on the Rogoff page.

If she had deleted the Rogoff page in the first place, like she said she was going to do, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

The "Elite Posters" [sic] effectively define censorship, as the Free Speech Zone [sic] where they post has a list of ten people who are permanently censored from posting on that page.

I knew if I temporarily removed you from the Iggy list, that I would see you here posting.

You are incorrect. The Free Speech Zone (Non-PC) does not engage in censorship of any kind. There are liberals that post there whenever they want and we welcome the disagreement.

What we engage in is righteous discrimination. That is, we dont' allow trolls to troll the page.

What's the difference?

The difference is this: the liberals that post there freely can discuss the <exact same ideas> as the banned trolls. Therefore, there is no censorship. Any idea is allowed to be discussed, so there is no censorship.

It's the <people> who are being <discriminated> against and not the <content>, which would be censorship.

Finally, I told you a long time ago. I said, "<Tuna>, if you promise to post seriously, substantively and with insight, and contribute valuable posts that find themselves at the top of Graham's Hierarchy of Disagreement, and you turn over a new leaf and stop trolling, then I will let you into the Free Speech Zone".

But you did not take me up on that, so you remain with your nose pressed up against the glass on the outside, fogging up my windows.

No, it's discrimination. It's like I won't let you come into my restaurant, but the people that are allowed in can say anything they want.

Think of being a troll as being naked. You can't come into my restaurant if you are naked. That's discriminating against people who are naked in public. But the people with clothes on can come in, sit down, and discuss anything they want.

You have to understand that it's not just my discrimination at play here but <ceegee's>.

<6. No trolling.>

Those are the rules.

Substantive, serious, insightful ?

Yeah , right !

<Big pawn> , you don't even understand philosophy of Absolute let alone undersranding refutation of <omv argument> based on philosophy of Absolute and instead of learning and accepting that <omv argument> is shallow and wrong , you banned me from your forum. You don't want your beliefs to be challenged ,you believe what you want to believe (as opposed to going where logic and proof/evidence takes you) and close your eyes and ears to all the refutations and same is the state of all those people of your gang whom you call elite posters - none of them understands Absolute and instead of acknowledging that <omv argument> is very shallow and thoroughly refuted , they run away and hide and still keep on bragging <we are extraordinarily intelligent , we post substantively, seriously, insightfully>

Dear Mrs. Susan, hi boss,

it's a shame we are missing a (short) paragraph that can displace/enhance the 'current' placeholder

'A more detailed biography is planned.'

over at your son Daniel Freeman 's site.

If the task proves a technical barrier (missing editing rights on your account, formatting issues) you can drop a provisional submission/entry right here in your forum (where you have full controll over possible inevitably/unwanted inputs from our crazies) at any time. Soon after it will be noticed some editorial homunculuswill sort everthing out over at Demetrius's page.

Alberto A Artidiello 's bio might be suited as guideline (in anticipation of the most usual 'baiting' feedback, there is no need for you to mention the cause of death at all, it is not even wanted see Chessgames Editor Guide , Bio, Guideline 7).

If Rogoff is not involved it should be handled with all required civility.

2021 marks an anniversary for this site, it would feel (a bit) better for you and the vigorous gang, when this gap is finally filled for good.

Again this is for personal notice only please do not hesitate to nuke it when the 'message' is delivered.

Have a good weekend/take care

George Wallace: <Susan>, not for nothing, I want to make sure you have a more complete picture of the Rogoff page. You can see that some people come here trying to censor <right wingers>, like <BP>. They say "Daniel wouldn't allow it" in an attempt to manipulate you, using your son's name, tugging at your heart. It's rather despicable.

But allow me, <Susan>, to share something here, something that will enlighten you I'm sure. Look at what the <not right wingers> are posting on the Rogoff page and then ask yourself if <Zanzibar> or <Nok> or any of the other pearl-clutching cry babies came here demanding censorship of the following:

The Left have been openly advocating for both pedophilia and concentration camps for their political opponents.

<al wazir: Pedophilia doesn't always harm the child.>

Kenneth Rogoff (kibitz #460832)

<al wazir: What we need now is help from the Chinese. Currently they have detained over a million Uighurs in so-called "vocational training centers" in Xinjiang. These are actually concentration camps in which the prisoners, who are members of Muslim minorities, are infused with communist doctrines and nationalist sentiment, enforced by physical coercion. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...

This is pretty severe, but it's the sort of thing the commies are good at.

Here in the U.S., we have 75 million people who are similarly in need of having their thinking realigned. But straightening out ignorant, deluded, bigoted, paranoid citizens is *not* the sort of thing we Americans are good at.

Do you see where I'm going with this?>

Kenneth Rogoff (kibitz #457501)

<al wazir: If you think concentration camps are not the right way to do it, give me a better one.>

Kenneth Rogoff (kibitz #457805)

<Susan>, I hope you can keep this in mind the next time one of these cry babies come to the support forum to whine about censorship. When they complain about hate speech or racism or bigotry, just remember there was no outrage, no outcry, no petition to censor, no demands to suspend, and basically not a peep about the above outrageous, ugly and hateful statements from one of their own.

You can now know without question that outrage from <Saffuna>, <Nok>, <Zanzibar>, <FSR>, <Perfidious> or any of the others is nothing more than selective outrage. It is manufactured outrage put on display here as an attempt to manipulate you into silencing their political opposition.

And for the record, I am not asking for them to be censored either.

I just think it's a matter of fairness that this information be presented to you.

Jul-20-21  rbd: <al wazir> does not throw vile abuses , venom against people at rogoffland.

.

Jul-21-21  rbd: And <al wazir> does not pervert user names either. He always uses proper user names
