Hawaii chess player. When analyzing the great games of Fischer, Smyslov, TalÖ I feel like Iím listening to a conversation through closed doors, I catch only fleeting details. I long to tear down those doors and hear them entirely. Thanks to chessgames.com I might just be able to open that door a crack.

Tennyson: Holy Molly, I'm in chess-studying heaven. Did anybody else notice the new Convekta Pocket PC software, brand spanking new? I just ordered Pocket Chess Strategy today, and now they just released Pocket Encyclopedia of Middle Game, and Pocket Chess Endings. I already have Pocket ...

Tennyson: <DP12> Thank you. A compliment from an FM makes me feel deeply gratified. Do you have any games posted here on chessgames.com?

Feb-27-05 Kasparov vs Adams, 2005 (replies)

Tennyson: Hmmm, chesslive.org and chess.fm noted the same odd sac on e4, then retracted it. Must be a joke...or was it a prearranged move that Adams decided not to make...LOL He had been paid (like a boxer) to take the fall but refused last minute...the Setup by Joseph Moncure March.

   Feb-16-05 Nijboer vs A Simutowe, 2001

Tennyson: Wow, check out the double rook sac declined.

Jan-25-05 Topalov vs Anand, 2005 (replies)

Tennyson: Anand's Bf6 is to keep an eye on white center pawns which could start rolling forward at any moment with advantage.

Jan-23-05 Anand vs Kramnik, 2005 (replies)

Tennyson: I still call this game drawn, even though black has a slight advantage with his rook on the 2nd rank...but that's about it. Well, now nobody can accuse Kramnik of being the one who brought this into a drawish line (Anand did with 21. Bd3). If Anand had moved 21. Nf1 then there ...

Jan-15-05 Judit Polgar vs Svidler, 2005 (replies)

Tennyson: Does anybody know of a link to listen to live coverage of this game, and all the other games?

   Jan-15-05 Corus Group A (2005) (replies)

Tennyson: Kramnik is playing with some courage. g5!!
