Dec-05-12 Granda Zuniga vs Marco Alcaraz J, 1991

Thecheesykid: His mistake was 15... Bxe5? creating serious dark-square weaknesses around his king, idk why he would play Bx when he could've played Nx.

   Apr-18-12 Alekhine vs B Verlinsky, 1918 (replies)

Thecheesykid: If Ka8 there's Qb8# or Rb8# If Kc8, it's mate in 4 with qb8+ kd7 Rb7+ qd7 rxd7+ kd6 Rf7# or Rb7# or Rxa7# Qb4 or Qb6 are the only options here.

   Sep-27-11 Topalov vs Serper, 1989

Thecheesykid: What's wrong with black's Rg5 response?

Sep-23-11 Tarrasch vs Burn, 1907 (replies)

Thecheesykid: Could spare the queen with 30... Be5+ 31. dxe5 Qg7. This still loses black a bishop and a rook for nothing, practically the same point loss! But it's there... black's lost from this position, so a resign is probably wise.

Sep-22-11 Van der Wiel vs Anand, 1984 (replies)

Thecheesykid: Could have been a way out with Rf8 attacking the white queen, he would have moved to Qg7 (no other safe square really), then he would have needed to do Qe6. Safe for now. This move would also attack the white knight and put his queen in a decent defensive position.

   Sep-20-11 I Bilek vs E Paoli, 1958 (replies)

Thecheesykid: But there's a way out! You have to look closely, but: 18... Ngxf2 (putting w queen in danger) 19. Rxf2 Ne2+ (knight sacrifice with check) 20. Bxe2 Qd4. White has piece and positional advantage though, but the queen is saved, for now, not that it really has a way out from here,
