Aug-22-20 Magnus Carlsen Chess Tour Finals (2020) (replies)
VinnyRoo2002: <<Sokrates> I get your points and it would indeed be <a huge advantage> for the chooser, if the Armageddon game was played a long time after the last game. But in this match it followed shortly after. Unless I have got it wrong, Carlsen had to choose the colours ...
   Jun-16-15 Norway Chess (2015) (replies)
VinnyRoo2002: I'm not making excuses for Carlsen, I saying the whole sport of chess is cheapened by these events. What if players start throwing games so that certain players qualify for the candidates? Should this be okay? After all, there is no rule that a player must play well. For ...
   Apr-11-15 Wesley So (replies)
VinnyRoo2002: I've never seen so many people turn on a young man so quickly. You would have thought he committed a terrible crime. Let's analyze what he did exactly, he wrote some inspirational thoughts on a sheet of paper. If this is a violation of the rules, fine, if this warrants a ...
   Jan-04-15 Hikaru Nakamura (replies)
VinnyRoo2002: No, the disconnect was in the 3'1 portion of the match. Without that game, it was 4.5-3.5 Nakamura. Considering he was winning that game prior to the disconnect, it could have easily been 5.5-3.5 in favor of Naka.
Jan-21-14 Harikrishna vs Nakamura, 2014 (replies)
VinnyRoo2002: Is this a transposition to the ruy Lopez?
   Dec-10-13 B Grachev vs T Sachdev, 2013 (replies)
VinnyRoo2002: 35. Qf4 Qc6+ wins the rook.
   Apr-11-13 V Bhat vs Nakamura, 2008
VinnyRoo2002: Where's the draw in the final position? Looks like a win for white still.
   Feb-21-13 G Jones vs Qi Guo, 2013
VinnyRoo2002: I just wanted to highlight this game, it was an incredible struggle. Very dynamic play from both sides.
Dec-08-12 London Chess Classic (2012) (replies)
VinnyRoo2002: Great prediction, I predicted that Naka would either win, draw, or lose prior to the game. But I amend my prediction to include the game being halted by an act of God. So either Naka will win, lose, draw, or there will be an act of God.
Aug-01-12 Bacrot vs Nakamura, 2012 (replies)
VinnyRoo2002: I agree with tacite. It was obviously a terrible move, but we're all capable of making them. I know I've made my share during my chess career.
