Apr-30-21 Geller vs Fischer, 1970 (replies)

W Westerlund: And now I am leaving. I had enough of Harry Lime and company. Goodbye to you all.

Apr-29-21 Karpov - Spassky Candidates Semifinal (1974) (replies)

W Westerlund: I said that they played one game. Karpov said they played one game. Karpov did not go to Iceland. He had no contact with Spassky. He had no impact on what was going on there. He was not part of the team. If you do not agree, use the link you provided and read the interview.

   Apr-26-21 Nepomniachtchi vs Vachier-Lagrave, 2021

W Westerlund: The best player won the tournament. Great play by Giri, except today, but the chance was not really there anyway.

Apr-24-21 Caruana vs Giri, 2021 (replies)

W Westerlund: I don't feel unhappy that Caruana is out, it is now between Giri and Nepo - one of them will make very difficult to Carlsen this year. It would be nice if it would be Nepo but Giri is okay too and he is perhaps even stronger, although there is something in the game against Ding

   Apr-21-21 Nepomniachtchi vs K Alekseenko, 2021 (replies)

W Westerlund: Some of these comments are so shameful, I am leaving.

   Apr-14-21 Tartakower vs P Trifunovic, 1950

W Westerlund: Comical ending indeed. Andrewjsacks, didn't we knew one another a long time ago - some 19 years ago?

Apr-05-21 Steinitz vs V Martinez de Carvajal, 1889 (replies)

W Westerlund: 13.Kf2 would have been much better, as the king can find shelter on the king side if necessary (Qd4, Kg3, Rb2, Kh2).

Apr-01-21 Fischer vs Keres, 1959 (replies)

W Westerlund: I don't know what Fischer played later on against the Caro-Kann, but it is clear that this variation wasn't sufficient. Keres was a Soviet GM and so was all the rest, regardless of geographical location. Fischer used to call them the 'Russians', just as many other Americans ...

   Mar-30-21 Fischer vs T Ellison, 1964 (replies)

W Westerlund: Sorry, but I do not get it. Why not simply 19. Bxa8 and it seems that Black has a rotten position?

   Mar-09-21 M Delage vs S Prokofiev, 1937 (replies)

W Westerlund: Prokofiev also won a game against Capablanca in a simul.
