Xenon Oxide: <Ron> Always easy to do backseat driving with a superhuman engine turned on. Can you be so confident if you were facing this position OTB with no outside help?

Apr-21-21 World Championship Candidates (2020/21) (replies)

Xenon Oxide: My god, some people are still fighting the cold war. What century do you live in? And even back in the cold war, the collusion accusations were exaggerated. Of course there was an element of truth, but it was blown way too out of proportion due to Fischer's ego.

Xenon Oxide: <MissScarlett: Why sad? You want to force every GM through the cookie cutter?> What makes you think that? I can't force anyone, but I can find them sad and pathetic. I can have my opinion without forcing anyone.

Xenon Oxide: So he beat Carlsen on lichess at least

Jun-06-19 Carlsen vs Grischuk, 2019 (replies)

Xenon Oxide: Alekhine-esque!

Nov-19-18 Caruana vs Carlsen, 2018 (replies)

Mar-28-18 GRENKE Chess Classic (2018) (replies)

Xenon Oxide: I don't know if Caruana will do as well seeing that he will only have 3 days' rest but we'll see!

   May-02-15 Gashimov Memorial (2015) (replies)

Xenon Oxide: This is why Anand won Shamkir chess 2015. In round 1 Anand would have defeated Carlsen under normal circumstances. Then in round 2 Anand would have won again. Same with round 2, 3, and 6, all of which he should have won. Also, in final round against Caruana, Anand played ...

Feb-24-15 FIDE Grand Prix Tbilisi (2015) (replies)

Xenon Oxide: To be fair, I just want to give the contrary opinion since everybody seem to be wanting to pile on Giri: he WAS saying that in response to Grischuk's criticism, which I think is hardly fair and way out of line. And Giri is right, in a sense: Grischuk had never come close to ...

Feb-11-15 Zurich Chess Challenge (2015) (replies)

Xenon Oxide: <Kinghunt> Can you add a round limit to your tally of supertournament wins by player? Think it might be useful. Cheers :-)
