Bizarre moves seem to make more sense when played by GMs. It's hard enough to remember the classical lines.

Jun-25-07 Kramnik vs Gelfand, 2007 (replies)
Yuri54: At first I was taken off guard by Gelfand's king recapture of the bishop. Then I experienced deja vu when Kramnik also recaptured a piece with his king, leaving it in the center as well. But after that it dawned on me that these are super GM's playing at the most elite levels of ...
May-11-07 Topalov vs Adams, 2007 (replies)
Yuri54: <Whitehat1963> Mate with two knights is not impossible, it just can't be forced if the opposing king is on the right square.
Apr-17-07 Zadneprovsky vs Karpov, 1961 (replies)
Yuri54: Seems pretty accurate. Either way, white is down in material.

Yuri54: Thanks Edwin & Mr. Schiller. I'll try to set up some games soon.

Yuri54: 12.Nd4
May-19-04 Topalov vs Anand, 2004 (replies)
Yuri54: Thank you rags i thought they put on an actual blindfold and move without seeing the board. I forgot that they don't have x-ray vision.
Mar-02-04 Kramnik vs Polgar, 1996 (replies)
Yuri54: I still don't understand how blindfold games go. I wouldn't even know which piece i'm touching let alone remember the position on the board. I'll probably end up capturing my own pieces.
Feb-27-04 Leko vs Shirov, 2004 (replies)
Yuri54: If there is an exchange on c3 then white plays 30.Ra1. The king will then march down the dark squares. Black will not exchange on c2 because the bishop is not the same color as the queening square. And white has a kingside pawn majority, so black might draw with accurate play. I'm ...
   Feb-04-04 Polgar vs H Grooten, 1984 (replies)
Yuri54: Why would white play 23.Rc1? Rb1 seems more like it. White can hold the passed pawn and looking at who's playing the white side I think she would win.
   Jan-29-04 M Donaghay vs M Fallone, 1994 (replies)
Yuri54: White should have kept the dark squared bishop by playing Bxd4. Black would have a difficult time picking off the queenside or kingside pawns. BD4 protects b2 and f2. It was probably one of those moments for white where he played what he saw right away, free pawn but lost endgame
